Remediation in New Media - Critical Scenography with Alda Terracciano

Visiting researcher Dr Alda Terracciano will talk about "Remediation in new media: exploring the intersection between arts, local cultural heritage and technology". We find this huegly relevant within critical scenography contexts.

Abstract: "Moving from McLuhan's concept that the medium is the message (McLuhan 1964), she will discuss a number of art projects in which remediation, that is the representation of one medium in another, has been used to engage culturally diverse communities with multisensory heritage and digital technologies. References to feminist analysis will be considered in relation to its redefinition and deconstruction of classical paradigms of creative process and aesthetic theories."
